Alan White has been a member of Saint James and the choir for several years. He volunteered to lead the choir in February of 2017 and was appointed as part-time Music Director for the church the following November. He has an Associate degree in Music; B.A. from Shorter College; M.Ed. in Special Education from West Georgia College; and obtained his Ed.D. in School Administration from the University of Georgia. He retired from public education after 37 years as a teacher, administrator and school Superintendent. Throughout his career he has gained over 20 years of experience in directing choirs in several churches across Georgia, in addition to singing in a variety of college, church and community choirs. Alan is married to Lynda White and they have three daughters and six grandchildren.
