Outreach: Serve Others
Outreach at St. James truly extends far and wide. It’s one of the ways we live out our faith beyond our walls. We support both organizations and individuals locally, regionally, and internationally.
Close to home, we support Victory Home, Rabun County 4-H Extension, the Community Pantry, First Impressions Clothing Ministry, and Rabun County Family Connections — meeting practical needs and strengthening families right here in our community.
We invest in children and education through FERST Readers, putting books into little hands and hope into young hearts.
We partner with Place of Hope, offering stability and care to children and families in crisis.
And beyond our borders, we support Our Little Roses in Honduras, helping provide a safe, loving home and education for girls in need.
We support members of our congregation in need as well as Sharing and Caring with our Brown Bag every Sunday donations.
During Advent, with the help of Lee Burson and Linda Sanders, we support Mountainview Nursing Home with gifts and treats.
The majority of our congregation gives back to the local community through programs like Rotary, Kiwanis, Meals on Wheels, the Food Bank and many more. Please let our Outreach committee know if your organization needs help with anything. We would be glad to do a hands-on partnership.
A church that reaches outward with compassion, generosity, and joy; this is who we are at St. James. Our outreach doesn’t just send help, it sends hope. Thank you to the St. James community for your caring and generous donations.
